The 15th annual Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations at Parliament
Hill were held on October 7, 2009 in Room 200, West Block. Mr. Kevin
Vickers, Sergeant-at-Arms, House of Commons, was the Award Recipient. He
was presented with a plaque and Sandulak's polar bear sculpture.
Honourable John McCallum was the Keynote Speaker and
spoke about the state of the economy, a hot topic worldwide.

The 16th annual Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations at Parliament
Hill were held on September 22, 2010 in Room 200, West Block. Honourable
Peter Milliken, Speaker of the House of Commons, was the Award Recipient. He
was presented with a plaque and Sandulak's polar bear sculpture.

The 17th annual Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations at Parliament
Hill were held on November 16, 2011 in Ottawa Sheraton Hotel due to the closure of West Block for renovations.
His Excellency David Jacobson, Ambassador for the United States of America to Canada was the Award Recipient. He
was presented with a plaque and Sandulak's polar bear sculpture.

The 18th Annual Eid-ul-Adha was
celebrated on October 30, 2012 in the Government Conference Centre.
We also celebrated the 30th anniversary of our Canadian Constitution,
and the Keynote address was on the Canadian Charter of Human Rights and
Freedoms by Professor Errol Mendes, Professor of Law at the University
of Ottawa.

celebrated on October 22, 2013 in the Government Conference Centre.
The City of Ottawa was the Award Recipient for this year. Dr. Andrew Bennett, Canadian Ambassador
of the newly established Office for Religious Freedom was the
Keynote Speaker.
