8TH ANNUAL EID-UL-ADHA - FEBRUARY 25, 2003

Canadian Broadcasting Corporation – CBC-Radio Canada was the recipient of the 2003 Eid-ul-Adha award.  The award was in recognition of CBC’s more than 65 years of public radio and television broadcasting service, in English and French, as well as in eight aboriginal languages in the north, and its long-standing commitment to providing news and information programming of the highest possible standards to all Canadians.

Mr. Robert Rabinovitch, President and CEO, received the award on behalf of CBC.  He was also the keynote speaker.  A plaque and Keith Sandulak's polar bear sculpture were presented to him and are displayed at CBC's Headquarters in Ottawa.
